One Lord
This powerful message challenges us to consider the most fundamental question of our faith: Does God have a logo? In a world filled with competing religious symbols and the pressure to simply coexist without claiming truth, we're reminded that God's 'logos' is not a symbol but a person - Jesus Christ. The sermon takes us through John's profound declaration that 'the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,' revealing that the eternal, infinite God didn't just send a message or a philosophy, but became one of us. What's truly revolutionary is how God chose to reveal Himself - not through overwhelming power that forces belief, but through the scandal of the cross. The crucifixion, which seemed like ultimate defeat, becomes the ultimate demonstration of love. We're confronted with the reality that our greatest need isn't for better technology, more knowledge, or self-improvement strategies, but for someone who can solve our deepest problems: sin and death. The resurrection becomes the hinge upon which everything turns - if Jesus rose from the dead, then He is exactly who He claimed to be. The witnesses didn't die for an idea; they died for a living reality they couldn't deny. This message calls us to recognize that however low we may feel, Jesus went lower in His pursuit of us, and now stands exalted above all, inviting us to say yes to His transforming love.
