CP KIDS EARLY CHILDHOOD is our Sunday morning environment for little ones (birth -kindergarten). We believe that little ones come to learn, not merely to be baby sat. As little sponges, they soak up God's Word as it's presented and reinforced through drama-based bible stories, and memorized using hand motions. All of our children are taught in large and small group settings, using age-appropriate media, activities, crafts, and worship.
Our learning environment is exciting and cutting edge in relevancy to little kids. Our time is framed around three Basic Truths every child should embrace by the age of 5.
- God Made Me
- God Loves Me
- Jesus wants to be my friend forever
Each Basic Truth is amplified by a Key Question, Bottom Line, and Memory Verse as the framework for each month. Through small group activities & relationships, dynamic large group teaching, and high-energy worship, Lord-willing this will be the best hour of your child’s week.
WHAT HAPPENS IN CP KIDS EARLY CHILDHOOD?
God is introduced to kids as their powerful Creator, their loving Father, and Jesus as their everlasting friend. They are challenged to trust in what the Bible says and know that God sees them as special and is all-knowing and all-powerful. Here's what a typical morning looks like for each age group.
Each child is greeted at the Check-In Desk and signed in by their parent or an individual over 18. We have a thorough, secure process of checking in your children which takes a minute or two of your time, but insures that your child is safe and their experience is even better. If you have never attended CP KIDS before, you will be asked to fill out a registration card which will minimize the time it takes to check in your child in the future.
LARGE GROUP (Worship & Story)
3 years old - Kindergarten
After Check-In, during which they do free play, kids are moved to the Large Group environment. Here we bring the Bible to life through hilarious skits, high-energy worship, live storytellers, props, costumes and video segments. We strive to make this portion of your child's experience memorable in a kid-relevant way. We want kids to walk away remembering the day's story from the Bible with such enthusiasm they can't help but talk about it on the way home and the next day. Don't be surprised if you hear about Jonah's whale spitting them out, being visited by one of Gideon's masked spies, and praising God loudly with trumpets and tambourines. We'll do whatever it takes to make the days story memorable.
18 months until 3 years old
After Check-In, during which they do free play, toys are put away and kids are moved to a Large Group environment. Here we teach them about God through repetitive reinforcement of the basic truth, bottom line, and the bible words through our language, actions, and the use of puppets. They are also taught to praise God, through high-energy worship, and memorize scripture through simple hand motions.
SMALL GROUP (Activities & Crafts)
3 years old - Kindergarten
Kids participate with their small group in an activity intended to introduce and reinforce the month's basic truth, and the one bottom line we want kids to walk away with and remember that morning. These small group times are critical in forming relationships both with the leader and other kids present. We highly encourage parents to bring their child every week, to the same service, with the same leader in order to effectively build these relationships. That way they get connected and we have the highest chance of establishing relationships that are going to matter when they need it most.

- During Check-In, we ask parents of infants to fill out an Infant Care Card. This card provides information relating to his/her schedule and other helpful hints as to how best to meet your child's physical and emotional needs.
- We surround our babies with love and nurture their faith by reinforcing the month's basic truth, bottom line, and bible words through our language, actions, and by using a set of faith-based dvds that hold your child's attention while featuring best-loved hymns and baby- sized Bible stories told in a simple way.
Check-out happens in the same location where your child is checked in. Though long lines are rare, please be patient as we take extra security precautions to ensure your child leaves our program with the right adult.
HOW DOES CP KIDS PARTNER WITH PARENTS?
Step 1: Get up and go to church! We will do everything we can to make it worth the trip.
Step 2:Take your kids to CP KIDS and then attend the adult worship service.
Step 3: Follow through with your primary role as the spiritual leader in your child's life by taking advantage of the 'Parent Resources' we make available on Sunday mornings. We only have one hour a week with your child compared to up to 75 hours you have. Thus, we can only begin the conversation. If it's to be implemented and make a difference in your child's life, it's imperative that you take advantage of these resources.
