video audition information

For those of you who have already submitted an application to join the worship band, there is a part 2 of the application process, which is a video audition. Our hope is that you will find this process as a great way to audition as opposed to a live, 1-on-1 audition. The benefit of a video audition is that can be done at your own pace, at a convenient time, and you have the benefit of doing multiple takes and then selecting the one that highlights your skill set. It’s a win-win-win for you!

You do not need to have professional equipment. Most phones now-a-days allow you to record video. We’re not looking for anything visually spectacular. We just want to know what you look like and how you sound playing with a band. You can also have the mp3 playing in the background so you know where you are, but just make sure to highlight your parts. Remember, we want to hear you! So, don’t get all hyped up about it not being the next in line for an academy award for “Best Visually Stunning Audition” or a studio quality recording. Just set it up, hit record, and play your heart out!

(Please note, if you are applying for multiple instruments, you will need to submit a video for each instrument)

  1. Skill level
