The 6 Month Challenge

At CenterPoint, we believe giving financially is not about pressure—it's about participation in what God is doing through your church. That’s why we’re inviting you to take a bold next step through what we’re calling the Six-Month Challenge. Whether this would be your first time giving, or you’re ready to grow in your generosity, this is an invitation to step toward deeper trust in the God who provides.

What is the 6 Month Challenge?

It’s simple: For the next six months, commit to giving regularly— and see what God does. You choose the amount. You ask God what obedience looks like. And you take the next step. In 2 Corinthians 9:6–8, the Apostle Paul reminds us: “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Giving isn’t a salvation issue. You are not more saved if you give, and you’re not less saved if you don’t. Salvation is by grace, through faith in Jesus alone.
  • Giving is about trust, not transaction. When we give, we’re declaring with our actions: God is my provider—not me. It’s a spiritual discipline of dependence and trust.
  • This is between you and God. No one on our pastoral or ministry staff knows if you give or how much. Our trusted finance team handles all giving with integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ask God. Then follow. We’re not asking for a specific amount. We’re simply encouraging you to ask God what He wants from you—and then say yes.

Why 6 Months?

Because it gives you a clear runway to develop a rhythm of trust and see what God does. No gimmicks. No pressure. Just you, Jesus, and a courageous step toward obedience and freedom.
