Rooted Groups
The Rooted experience takes groups in the church on a 10-week journey of learning and practice. Groups learn foundational Christian beliefs and practice the 7 rhythms of discipleship from the New Testament. The experience challenges and inspires participants to step beyond their comfort zone as they follow Jesus.
What is Rooted?
Rooted is a 10-week discipleship program and a catalyst for life-change. It provokes questions, conversations, and group experiences designed to give you a glimpse of your story in God’s story.
How do I join a group and what does it cost?
The cost is $25 per person to go through the course, which includes all sessions, your workbook and other materials, and the Celebration dinner at the end of the 10 weeks. We don't want cost to be an issue, so if you need financial assistance, please see the discount codes available to you when you click "Secure my Book".
Is childcare available?
Childcare is available for some in-person rooted groups. Check your “attendee type” as you register, to see if childcare is available.
What if I cannot make it to the first week?
If you miss the first week, your leader will be in contact with you and you can still join your group. For the best Rooted experience, we recommend not missing more than two weeks. If your schedule requires you to miss more than two, feel free to jump into the Rooted when the next session starts.
What if I cannot make all ten weeks?
We understand that Rooted is a large time commitment, but we believe it is worth it to invest in the entire process. If you know you are going to miss more than 2 meetings, we ask that you wait until the next session of Rooted. The 10 weeks are a cumulative experience, and so we ask that every participant commit to honor each other with being at every meeting.
When will I be let into my group after requesting to join?
Our group leaders should let you into your group within 48-72hr's from the time you requested. Be on the lookout for an email from them. If you haven't been let into the group outside that time frame, something might have gone wrong. Please reach out to [email protected] so that we can resolve the issue.
What is the difference between Rooted and CP-Groups?
Rooted is for the person who is looking to make a commitment into their faith journey by joining in this experience for a specific 10 week period. Ideally, your Rooted group at the end of the 10 weeks becomes your CP-Group.
